In 2023, I retired after serving 10 years as the Chief Operating Officer for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon and SW Washington (RMHC). In that role, I was responsible for human resources, training, IT, finance, facilities, guest services, volunteer management, project management, and family programming for the 128 families staying at 4 houses each night, in addition to hundreds of families and children served by in-hospital programming. During my tenure, we increased housing by 150% across the state and increasing revenue by over 200%.
I have also served as the Executive Director at the YWCA of Greater Portland and held regional and national positions at the American Red Cross during my 15-year tenure, including the Client Services Director for the National Testing Lab and serving as the CEO and COO of the NW Region (Oregon, Washington, Alaska). Just prior to arriving at RMHC, I served as the National Vice President for American Red Cross, where I directed the operations and support for 1300 staff and 95,000 local partners engaged in supporting 6 million blood donations coast to coast.
